ALBERT BANDURA

Early education was undertaken in a small school
He graduated from high school in 1946
He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia
He has master’s degree in psychology and doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Iowa received in 1951 and 1952 respectively.

Bandura is a popular social cognitive psychologist with significant contribution the development of the social learning theory. His early education was undertaken in a small school that only had two instructors. He learned from an early age that he had to take charge of his education because of the limited learning resources. He is a Canadian American psychologist. He is renowned as the instigator of social cognitive philosophy. In 1946, He graduated from high school. 

Later on, he joined the University of British Columbia, where he graduated with bachelor’s degree in psychology (Cherry, 2019). He was also awarded the Bolocan Award in psychology.  The award if often awarded annually to a remarkable student in psychology. Bandura also received a master’s degree in psychology in 1951 from the University of Iowa. From the same institution he also received a doctorate in clinical psychology in 1952 (Cherry, 2019). He is ranked as the fourth most renowned psychologist behind gurus such as B.F. Skinner, Sigmund Freud, and Jean Piaget.
