Individual Case Analysis

Throughout my career, all my activities have revolved around performing various managerial tasks within any given environment. My main aim is to create a holistic environment that will harness all the essential knowledge and skills to address society's life challenges. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree, and I have majored in business management economics. Being an economist is one of the exciting careers around the global market. It dictates understanding the world phenomenon through critical analysis of the worldwide market and the key challenges that affect people within different regions (Economics, 2020). My current course has helped me gain various knowledge and skills that will help me advance my studies and become more competitive in the job market.

Current Situation

1.     SWOT

Strength

Throughout my studies, I have gained numerous learning products that relate to business management. For instance, one of my strengths is having strong analytical skills. Typically, all business jobs demand a person to possess excellent analytical skills to execute the purported roles within any given organization. Analytical skills entail computing, presenting, and disking the critical data using the graph, table, and other presentation tools. The second element has excellent communication skills. My current course has adeptly helped me expound on my communication skill, where currently, I can speak and write fluently without any phobia. Moreover, I can present all the reports to people under different ranks within the firm. Thirdly, I have gained strong managerial skills. Managerial skills demand having know-how on how to manage people within different settings.

Weaknesses

Although I have managed to develop various strengths, I have also identified some weaknesses. The first weakness is time management. Typically, I have been facing difficulties completing the situated assignments on time. Time management is one of the critical capabilities that business analysts must possess while executing organizational tasks. The second weakness is collaborating effectively with introverts. Introverts are people who rarely express their concerns to other people. Working with such people has been difficult since I always enjoy the company of other peel within groups.

Opportunities

            My career development has provided various opportunities that could elevate my competitive advantage. The first opportunity is the use of computer-related component to execute the managerial and analytical tasks. With the current technological development, many firms have integrated various information technology systems within the organization. Thus, utilizing such a system demands a person to have computer skills competence (Economics, 2020). Secondly, with the increasing globalization, many standards and accreditation have emerged. Accordingly, this has offered economists opportunities to expand their knowledge by taking various accounting courses, which offered an added advantage while searching for employment within the global market.

Threats

            For periods, competition has always remained a global threat in the business sector. Many students have enrolled in this program, and with the diversification of business operations, there is no doubt that the worldwide market will be flooded with business analysts. Accordingly, the rapid global change demands people to get updated on the current business laws and policies. Depending on the work schedules, it might be difficult to adeptly remain in books to familiarize with new changes all the time.

2.     The Competitive Strength Assessment Process

From the above SWOT analysis, it is clear that I have gained vital analytical and managerial skills. These are the essential critical competencies that help business analysts to remain more competitive in the labor market. Accordingly, I can use the computer related skills to execute business tasks. The computer has become an essential element of helping firms to expand their operations. Consequently, I can communicate effectively with different people in different settings.

3.     PESTEL Analysis

Political

            The current course has adeptly enlightened me on the key financial policies and regulations situated within the nations, such as the GALLUP and SEC standards. Also, it has various economic components, such as the financial and monetary policies, which are instrumental in performing a market analysis that is one of the primary tasks of business analysts.

Economic

 The economy is another factor that constitutes career development. For instance, it demands technicality to understand the interest rates, employment, related indicators, material costs, and stock assets, among other elements. Observably, I have been able to conduct various market analysis using the above mentioned competent within multiple settings.

Social

While majoring in business, it is essential to understand the social elements that affect the organization. With that, I have gained relevant knowledge and skill of handling customers within any given situation. The consumer elements entail the family demographic, literacy levels, cultural trends, among other fundamentals.

Technological

            In the current world, technology has become inevitable. Technology entails understanding the rate of technology, innovation, and development and how they affect the world market. Accordingly, I have been able to integrate various information systems within multiple organizations.

Environmental

            Every business must be conducted in a favorable working environment. With the rise in the importance of corporate sustainability responsibility (CSR), I have always ensured that all my activities abide by the set environmental standard within any given organization.

Legal

            Just like technology, laws, and policies are inventible. It is always essential to understand what is legal within any given territory. For diversification, it is necessary to understand the employment legislation, consumer laws, health hand safety, among other elements in the international market.

Plan After Graduation

Career hunt does not end after graduation. In fact, immediately after graduation, I plan to engage in internship programs with one of the best industrial firms in the American region. Notably, my main area of concern is fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).  With the internship, I intend to fully put the knowledge and skills gained in class to real-world phenomena. Similarly, the training will help me to establish extensive market connections with different people around the globe. Basically, I intended to enhance my leadership and managerial skills, which are essential business analysts' necessary competence. My internship program will only take utmost one year before I enroll in a master's degree program. With my master's, I aim to significant in business analysis, my primary area of concern.

Plan After Finishing Master

Finishing the master's program will open the way for me to get lucrative jobs in the job market. Notably, my main aim is to motivate people to get more acquainted with their work environments. Depending on how the labor market will be, I will opt to enroll in a Ph.D. degree program in business analysts. I intend to publish more business journals, books, and other business publications that could help other students advance their business knowledge in the world.
